Anne Fish

The author of Riskformation: How Smart Risk Taking Will Transform Your Life, Anne Fish, Wyoming, helps others take the fear out of risk and follow through on their dreams.

In her book, Anne recounts a time in college when her energy was drained. She was gaining weight and she could hardly get herself out of bed to attend class. A worried Kappa sister intervened: Anne was exhibiting signs of depression. The words weren't easy to hear, but Anne understood the courage it took for her friend and sister to bring up such a difficult conversation. That kindness and bravery changed Anne's life, helping her to overcome the negative thinking trap she had been pulled into.

Anne says that her mother and grandmother were strong philanthropic role models who gave to charities annually and as part of their legacies after they passed away. That's why she has chosen to include the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation — specifically educational programming — in her estate plan. She has named the Foundation as a beneficiary of her life insurance policy.

"Kappa is where I transformed from an awkward girl with no self-confidence to an independent woman," Anne recalls. "The Fraternity gave me so much. That is why I want to give back."
